Hydrotherapy is a great form of exercise as most of the muscles used in daily movement are involved, without the impact caused by motion on a hard ground. Due to increased resistance of movement created by the water, the muscles have to work harder than they would do on land.

Conditions that benefit from hydrotherapy:

  • Osteoarthritis
  • Obesity
  • Muscle strains and other soft tissue injuries
  • Neurological conditions
  • Pre and post surgical cases
  • Degenerative conditions
  • Hip and elbow dysplasia

Benefits of hydrotherapy include:

  • Reduced swelling and stiffness
  • Pain relief
  • Develop/ maintain muscle mass
  • Improve balance and stability
  • Alleviate stiff joints
  • Improve circulation
  • Cardiovascular fitness
  • Increased range of motion in joints

The hydrotheraphy treadmill is located in our 'old surgery' just across the road from our centre.
